Race guide
You can change race at any time after Update 7.
Use the race-changing mirror on the southern shore, or the changeappearance command. Update 7 also adds Uruhan as a playable northern bearman and gives non-host co-op characters a separate update path.
The mirror can change your race whenever you return to it.
Update 7 adds the northern bearmen as a player race.
Then use that updated character for multiplayer.
How to change your race
- Install Update 7 or any later build.
- Travel to the southern shore.
- Use the race-changing mirror there.
- Return to the mirror whenever you want to change again.
A mirror on the southern shore can change your race at any time; the changeappearance command is another option. The official update identifies the shore and the mirror, but it does not publish a marked map coordinate or a step-by-step route from every starting point.
If you already know how to use the in-game console, Update 7 also adds changeappearance as an alternative. This guide does not assume an unofficial console key or a copied command list.
How Uruhan fits into the current race list
Update 7 added Uruhan as a playable northern bearmen race.
That makes Uruhan a current character option rather than an NPC or enemy entry. The official note does not provide a complete table of racial bonuses, penalties or starting skills, so those values are not invented here.
Changing race as a co-op non-host
A non-host can change race in their own single-player game to update their multiplayer character.
- Leave the shared session.
- Open your own single-player game.
- Use the race-change route there.
- Rejoin multiplayer with the updated character.
This is specifically the non-host flow named in Update 7. It does not establish separate rules for host save ownership or quest rewards.
What can change besides appearance
Update 7 added more dialogue reactions to the player's race.
Race can therefore affect some conversations. The update does not publish a complete dialogue branch list or promise that changing race rewrites earlier choices, completed quests or past NPC reactions.
If the mirror or Uruhan is missing
- Confirm the game includes Update 7 or later.
- Look on the southern shore, not at the original creator.
- If you are a non-host player, make the change in your own single-player game before rejoining.
- Do not use launch-day race guides that predate the reusable mirror and Uruhan addition.
