Official PC requirements
Can your PC run it? Start with the published minimum.
Steam publishes one complete minimum specification for the Early Access build. It does not publish a full recommended target, resolution or frame-rate promise, so this page keeps that boundary explicit.

Official minimum requirements
- Operating systemWindows 10 or higher, 64-bit
- ProcessorIntel Core i5-4460 at 3.40 GHz or better; quad-core or better
- Memory8 GB RAM
- GraphicsNvidia GeForce GTX 970, AMD Radeon R9 290 equivalent or better
- DirectXDirectX 12
- Storage8 GB available space
- MultiplayerA network connection is required for multiplayer.
How to read this minimum
Steam shows a Recommended heading but no detailed recommended hardware beneath it. There is no official resolution, graphics preset or target frame rate to publish. Treat the minimum as an entry floor, not a guarantee that every location or multiplayer session will hold a particular frame rate.
The listed GPU tier does not reveal how much VRAM every supported card should have. That matters because Update 6 separately names 4 GB and 6 GB VRAM cards in its texture-streaming work. Passing the minimum list and avoiding a low-VRAM texture issue are not the same claim.
If you meet the floor but still have problems
Update through Update 6 before following launch-day fixes. Laptop iGPU selection, textures on some GPUs, heavy visual effects and a VRAM leak all changed after release. Nvidia users should also check the in-game warning for drivers below version 600.
