What to do before your next session

  1. Returning to a co-op saveClient inventories and quest state now restore when loading, and cases of multiplayer progress wipes were fixed. Load the updated build before treating an older recovery failure as current behavior.
  2. Following a quest as a clientClient quest tracking now follows the host. The host remains the useful reference when the party sees different objectives.
  3. Combining the same spell effectIdentical spells no longer stack their effects. Two identical spells are not a route to doubling that effect.
  4. Using crafted potionsIdentical crafted potions stack in the inventory, and potion effects stack correctly. The official note does not publish a duration formula or maximum effect count.

Magic, alchemy and merchant changes

  • Jump magicUpdate 6 added a Jump spell. Its recipe, components and unlock route are not included in the patch note.
  • Alchemy progressionAlchemy experience gain was increased. No exact XP rate is published.
  • InventoryIdentical crafted potions now stack, making batches easier to carry.
  • VendorsFiltering now includes a book filter, while merchant restocks stop at a limit instead of generating items forever.

Compare the current spell-crafting and alchemy rules.

Crashes and low-VRAM textures

  • Nvidia driversThe game now warns when Nvidia drivers are below version 600 because older drivers were identified as a crash source.
  • 4 GB or 6 GB VRAMUpdate 6 attempted another texture-streaming fix for GPUs with 4 GB or 6 GB of VRAM. Because the official wording calls this another attempt, persistent texture problems remain possible.
  • Merchant loadingThe update reports a major loading-time improvement alongside further companion, NPC, collision and navigation fixes.

Follow the current performance troubleshooting order.

Quest and companion quality-of-life changes

Quest directions, journal entries and points of interest were clarified, and many requirements became more lenient. Companions now appear on the map and teleport back when they fall too far behind. A Resetcamera console command was also added.
